What makes an intervention work? Specifically, an intervention that aims to change gender norms that place communities at risk of contracting HIV through an intervention based on Community Mobilization?

Researchers Audrey Pettifor, Ann Gottert, F. Xavier Gómez-Olivé, Kathleen Kahn et al use the information gathered through a two year trial at the MRC/Wits Agincourt Research Unit site to describe the study design of the intervention, using a defined mobilization model in an article entitled: ‘A cluster randomized-controlled trial of a community mobilization intervention to change gender norms and reduce HIV risk in rural South Africa: study design and intervention.’
